Highclere Castle - Downton Abbey

By popular demand we are delighted to have secured tickets to this iconic location. Highclere castle is a country house built in the Jacobethan style by the architect Charles Barry in in the 19th century,with the park designed by capability Brown in the 18th century. The house is owned by George Herbert, the 8th Earl of Carnarvon,  where the  world watches a modern produced version of the Upstairs downstairs TV cult series, Downtown Abbey. The moment you step inside, you are in "Downton Abbey". Everything is as it appears in the series. You can't help but smile and imagine yourself as part of the cast. Of course not all rooms were used for the series. After your tour why not visit the grounds where there are a few places too relax have a coffee, tea and snacks before continuing your stroll maybe getting lost in the maze before re-boarding the coach to head home after your exhilarating visit

Including in your admission price is entrance into the Castle, the Egyptian exhibition and the gardens. 

There are plenty of volunteers to answer any questions that you may have and there is a cafe on site where you can buy your own snacks and drinks. You can only take photos outside the castle.
